When the hearts beat; words wrap themselves in poetry and the Mehfil is decorated with the decorum of artistic articulation and literacy lovers. Tasneem Adnan
The dawn of 6th March 2021, greeted the theatre area of BHS with warm wishes of Aqa Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin’s R.A birthday celebration in an exotic Mehfil-e-Mushaera in which the teachers, in four teams i.e. Almas, Aqeeq, Yaqoot and Marjaan, fought with the flawless floral aroma and shone like precious stones, they were named after, rendering the Ishq-e-Haqeeqi and Ishq-e-Mijaazi, in the exuberant aura.
By one of the finest faculty of teachers collaborating from all the different departments be it Urdu, Science, English, Math, Sociology or IT; to win the evergreen articulations of the authors of Urdu Adab, was the most breathtaking sight and “Wah moment” for the students to witness.
The healthy competition, consisting of three levels, provoked the hidden Iqbal, Ghalib, Meer Taqi Meer, Rumi, Dard and numerous Shoaraa (poets) in all the teachers.
The esteemed judges Mohtarma Habiba and Mohtarma Farida Saylani took time to choose the best, meanwhile, Shiekh Zoeb Mulla Taherali Mithaiwalla, a well-wisher of the blossoming buds in the garden of BHS, captured the aura with the soothing “Manqabat-e-Mohammad-o-Ali A.S” and an intense “Naseehat – Yeh kaam zaroori hai, yeh kaam karengay!”
The legacy of Class X, which is to arrange the delicacy on the auspicious day every year, was like the cherry on the cake in the event Mehfil-e-Mushaera, hosted by the Urdu Department at the BHS, with the encouragement of the esteemed Principal Janab Sh. Hashim Saifuddin and the Head of Secondary Miss Maryam J. K
