The fourth group of Badri High School grade 10 students gave us a glimpse of Ashura in Karbala Moalla with their poignant rendering of Zikr-e-Hussain A.S., their purjosh matam and Noh-o- Aweel. All other Zaereeen were pulled towards them like moth to a flame during every majlis as they recited marsia of Imam Hussain A.S. and made eyes water and hearts melt.
Morning and afternoon, evening and night was spent in Haram Shareef where one could find them reciting Quran Majeed and Salam, praying tahajjud or doing tasbeeh.
For three consecutive mornings, we prayed fajr namaz in Masjid-e-Kufa. The serenity that one feels, while watching the world turn from dark to light as the sun rises over the tall minarets of Masjid-e-Kufa, is equal to none. Ya Ali Madad pours out unbidden from lips as hearts and souls remember the Maula whose name wipes out the darkness of sorrows and troubles.
We were also blessed by Aqa Maula’s Kalemaat Nooraniyah from Karbala, Najaf and Kufa Waaz Mubarak.
The journey began and ended with one Dua: May Allah Ta’ala grant our Maula a long and healthy life till the day of Qayamat and may we remain in His khidmat till our last breath. Ameen.
