Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the actual working, debate, and conflict resolution practices of the United Nations.

Students of Badri High School are also trained in the craft of public speaking, debating and researching in the Model United Nations.

This year, the third batch of debaters from Badri High School participated in DeningMUN at Dening Law School in the month of January.

Total 13 students participated, out of which, two students, Arefa Qamruddin and Zainab Murtaza of Class 9A and 9B were awarded with *Honorable Mention Award*.

This award is given to those candidates who exhibit great qualities of research and debate.

Zainab Murtaza and Zainab Mujtaba represented Badri High school at The International Public Speaking Competition organized by the English Speaking Union of Pakistan held at the Beach Luxury Hotel on Saturday 25th February 2023.

The students participated in the City Heats and spoke for 5 minutes each on the topic of ‘You dont get a second chance to make a first impression.’

This was followed by Round 2 of extempore speeches. The students competed with top schools in Karachi including Karachi Grammar, Mama Parsi and other esteemed institutions.

The ESU international round is to be held at Dartmouth House, London from May 14 to 18th 2023.

ESUP is a charitable organisation dedicated to the promotion of global friendship and mutual understanding internationally through communication and sharing of views using the English language. The International Public Speaking Competition is one way of achieving this goal.
